These terms govern all web design projects and services provided by Aline. By engaging our services, you agree to the terms set out below.
"Aline" refers to the web design service operating under the Aline name, based at 184 Upper Buitenkant Street, Oranjezicht, Cape Town, 8001.
"Client" refers to the individual or business engaging Aline for web design or related services.
"Project" refers to the web design work agreed upon between Aline and the Client as defined in the accepted proposal or package.
The scope of each project is defined by the package selected and confirmed at the time of engagement. Any work requested outside the agreed scope — including additional pages, features, or significant design changes — will be quoted and invoiced separately before work commences.
Aline reserves the right to decline requests that fall outside the original scope without prior agreement.
All projects require a 50% non-refundable deposit before any work begins. The deposit invoice must be paid and cleared before the project commences.
The remaining 50% is due before the website goes live. Aline will not transfer or launch the website until final payment has been received and cleared.
All invoices are issued in South African Rand (ZAR) and are payable via Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT). Payment is due within 5 business days of invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Late payments may result in work being paused until outstanding amounts are settled.
The Client is responsible for providing all written content, images, branding assets, and any other materials required for the project. Content must be provided before the build phase begins.
Delays caused by late content delivery are not the responsibility of Aline and may result in a revised delivery timeline. Aline cannot be held liable for project delays arising from the Client's failure to provide content timeously.
The Client warrants that all content provided is owned by or licensed to the Client and does not infringe any third-party rights. Aline accepts no liability for content provided by the Client.
Each package includes a defined number of revision rounds:
Revisions must be submitted as a consolidated list per round. Aline will not action revisions submitted one at a time outside of the formal revision process.
Additional revision rounds are available at R500 per round. Major scope changes that arise during the revision phase will be quoted separately.
Aline targets delivery within 10–14 business days from the date the project commences (i.e., from deposit payment and receipt of all required content and assets).
Timelines are estimates and may be affected by delays in Client content delivery, revision complexity, or unforeseen circumstances. Aline will communicate any delays promptly.
Aline is not liable for losses arising from project delays where such delays are caused by Client-side factors.
Upon receipt of full and final payment, the Client receives full ownership of the completed website, including all design files and code produced specifically for the project.
Aline retains the right to display the completed work in its portfolio and for marketing purposes unless the Client requests otherwise in writing.
Third-party tools, plugins, themes, or fonts used in the project remain subject to their respective licences and terms. The Client is responsible for maintaining any ongoing licence fees after project handover.
Aline's total liability in connection with any project shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Client for that project.
Aline is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of revenue or profits, arising from the use or inability to use the delivered website.
Aline does not guarantee specific search engine rankings or business outcomes as a result of the website.
Either party may terminate a project engagement by providing written notice. In the event of termination by the Client after work has commenced, the deposit is non-refundable. If work completed exceeds the deposit value, the Client will be invoiced for work completed to date.
Aline reserves the right to terminate an engagement if the Client engages in abusive conduct, fails to make payment, or materially breaches these terms.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms or from any project engagement will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
